Rudby Parish Council is proud to maintain a variety of outdoor spaces for the enjoyment of our residents and visitors. Whether you are looking for a place to play sports, a quiet spot for a picnic by the river, or a safe play area for children, our parish offers several beautiful locations.
Below you will find details on the facilities we operate, as well as information on other community play areas.
Station Lane Sports Area
Location: Station Lane
This is the parish’s primary hub for active recreation. The Sports Area is designed for a wide range of ages and includes:
- BMX Track: A dedicated track for cycling enthusiasts.
- Football Area: equipped with goalposts for kick-abouts and games.
- Fitness Trail: Outdoor equipment for community exercise.
Amenities:
The site features a small car park for visitors and picnic benches for those wishing to relax.
Safety & Reporting:
We ask that all visitors use the facilities responsibly and respect the shared space. Please dispose of all rubbish in the litter bins provided.
Middleton-on-Leven Play Area
Location: Middleton-on-Leven
Situated in the heart of Middleton, this is an enclosed grassed area ideal for younger children.
- Features: Two swings.
- Amenities: A nearby bench and a litter bin to keep the area tidy.
The Linen Mill
Location: Rudby Bank, by the Riverside
For a more tranquil experience, visit the site of the historic old Linen Mill. Located along the banks of the River Leven, this grassed area is perfect for nature lovers.
- Features: Scenic riverside views and open grass.
- Amenities: Picnic benches are available, making this a lovely spot for lunch or a quiet rest during a walk.
Additional Community Facilities
Village Hall Playground
Location: Rear of the Village Hall, Enterpen
Please note that while this playground is a valued asset to our community, it is not operated by Rudby Parish Council. It is managed by the Village Hall Committee but remains open and available for general community use.
